About Wesley Manor

Since 1961, Wesley Manor has grown from 33 acres to a stunning 83 acres with a beautiful drive lined with cherry trees and charming landscaping. Not only has there been land expansion over the past 55+ years, but activity options have been enhanced to create a more active community. Wesley Manor is a place to call home for residents and future residents to be on the go and enjoy retirement living.

Unlike some companies which are owned by investors and managed by other companies, Wesley Manor is part of a family of Continuing Care Retirement Communities that are affiliated with BHI Senior Living.

Making continuous improvement is our goal

During more than 50 years of providing senior services in Indiana, BHI has developed strong relationships within the local communities we operate. BHI’s financial goals are not driven by the need to return profits to investors. Instead, we seek to make continuous improvements to the programs, living environments, and services we provide to our residents.

About BHI Senior Living

At its core, BHI is an organization deeply committed to doing what’s right for the people we serve. From our beginnings in 1905 as an organization founded to care for orphaned children, to our 50-year history of providing an exceptional quality of life for seniors, our non-profit, faith-based foundation guides us in every decision we make.

Our five life plan communities in Indiana are each recognized for superlative care and an enviable lifestyle — supported by one of the most well-respected and well-funded non-profit organizations in Indiana: BHI Senior Living Inc.

About the Foundation

BHI Senior Living strives to ensure that every resident who lives at Wesley Manor or one of our other Continuing Care Retirement Communities is empowered to live life to the fullest. It’s a lifestyle filled with opportunities to enhance wellness; enjoy exceptional services, amenities, and activities; and live in a community filled with good neighbors and caring staff. For more than 25 years, the BHI Foundation has been instrumental in helping us attain that goal.

BHI Foundation Inc. is a 509(a)(3) supporting organization. Listed below are ways you can help along with programs that may be beneficial to you or your family.

BHI Foundation Programs

Benevolent Care: The Good Samaritan Fund

Thanks to the generosity of our donors and the strength of the BHI Foundation, we are proud to offer the security of lifelong care for BHI residents who deplete their financial resources through no fault of their own and are no longer able to meet their monthly living expenses.

BHI residents who enter one of our CCRCs under a continuing care agreement are eligible to apply for benevolent care so that they may continue their residency in that community for as long as they choose. We are proud to say that no resident with a continuing care agreement has ever been asked to leave one of BHI’s senior living communities because of an inability to pay when their financial resources have been exhausted through no fault of their own.

Employee Scholarship Program

The BHI Foundation sponsors a scholarship program for the employees of BHI’s retirement communities. This tuition reimbursement program is designed to encourage employees to enhance their personal and professional growth through higher education. Retirement community employees can choose from two career development tracks: college credit/vocational courses or professional nursing licensure (RN and LPN).

Wellness Program

With the aid of your generosity, the BHI Foundation provides 50% of the funding for the Wellness Budget in each community. This support allows us to offer fitness programs, staffing, equipment, and more so our residents receive the benefit of comprehensive body/mind/spirit care.

Special Gifts and Projects

The generosity of our donors allows the BHI Foundation to contribute to community projects both within our CCRC’s and throughout their respective cities. These projects improve and enhance our residents’ quality of life, as well as make us good neighbors in our communities. Some of the projects we’ve helped support include:

  • Christian Service Award Grant is given to retired pastors or those in other Christian ministries to offset entrance fees
  • Resident Veterans Garden
  • Community Dog Parks
  • Resident prepared soldier care packages
  • Community woodshop and greenhouse
  • Community aviaries
  • Library improvements
  • Resident prepared school backpack donations
  • Indy Honor Flight Guardian sponsorship
  • Support for resident mentoring, tutoring, and teacher partnership with local school
  • Upgrade of chapel pianos
